Game of thrones ist eine neue US-Fantasy-Serie nach dem Buch "Das Lied von Eis und Feuer"(engl: "a vsong of ice and fire) von Georg R.R Martin.

Die 1.Staffel neinhaltet 10 Folgen, die alle ca 55 min. Spielzeit haben und bereits wöchentlich gesendet wurden.

Bisher sind sie nur auf englisch zu gucken, aber momentan läuft die Serie in Deutschland auf einem Privatsender.

Sie ist wirklich gut produziert und Lord Stark, einer der Hauptpersonen, wird von Sean Bean gespielt (kennen einige bestimmt schon als Boromir aus Herr der Ringe).

Hier noch mal eine kleine Inhaltsangabe:

Seven noble families fight for control of the mythical land of Westeros. Political and sexual intrigue abound. The primary families are the Stark, Lannister, and Baratheon families. Robert Baratheon, King of Westeros, asks his old friend Eddard Stark to serve as his chief advisor. Eddard, suspecting that his predecessor had been murdered, accepts so that he can investigate further. The Queen's family, the Lannisters, may be hatching a plot to take control.
